I know you've written about him, so I just wanted to connect the dots. He owned it as Thomas Moore's Son and Co. and Morrison ran the place...until he didn't. Cheers!
Laura Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6657913448535983609.post-81825296056711911252015-12-26T09:20:01.180-08:002015-12-26T09:20:01.180-08:00Mike: The Golden Grange sign clearly is pre-Prohi...Mike: The Golden Grange sign clearly is pre-Prohibition. Since Gustav Fleischmann did not did not really establish his own distillery, from which this was one brand, until 1893, that likely would be the earliest date. The latest would be 1918, when the enterprise shut down because of Prohibition. A window of 25 years, I recognize is not very helpful. As for value, pre-Pro signs in good condition generally bring hefty prices, but I hesitate to make a specific quote since I do not collect them or follow values very closely. You might check with Worthpoint or other pricing sites. It looks to be in really great condition for its age. However, we have no idea of its value or actual age since the brand itself is pre prohibition. Could you look at it for us and let us know if you could give us more information about this sign?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Golden-Grain-Whiskey-Flange-Sign-/172036759563?hash=item280e30a00b:g:Mt8AAOSwJcZWeNzCMike (Admin)https://www.blogger.com/profile/09558948467055052371noreply@blogger.com
